The kitchen and bathroom faucet’s main purpose is to supply water, but these have different designs according to their locations. However, you can substitute them because of the various designs and functional components.

Can You Put a Kitchen Faucet in the Bathroom? You can put a kitchen faucet in the bathroom because of its design, long arc, and spraying nozzle. Check the size of the sink, the size of the faucet, the color of the vanity, drain hole size, installation hole spacing, and design of the sink while installing them. Disconnect the water supply, remove the old faucets, and adjust the new ones.

The differences in these fixtures range from the construction material to the sizes and arcs.

Can you use a kitchen faucet in the bathroom?

The kitchen and bathroom faucets supply water, but these are equipped with different parts. In addition, the designs are not similar because of their different installation locations and purpose of use.

Regardless of these factors, you can use the kitchen faucet in your bathroom. You can install new ones by selecting suitable designs for your interior.

Furthermore, you can also replace them if they are compatible with pre-existing fixtures. The installation method is slightly different because of its distinct design and features.

You can also hire expert plumbers for their correct installation and to prevent future problems. Many people do not prefer to add them because of their distinct design.

These are larger and look different from your other smaller fixtures. People interested in interior décor do not want to add them because of their mismatched appearance.

In addition, these are of hose type and require frequent cleaning. Moreover, these contain extra nozzles and spray heads that are pretty useless in bathrooms.

How do you put a kitchen faucet in a bathroom?

You can add the kitchen faucets in the bathroom by selecting their design and interior space. It is necessary to remove the pre-existing fixture before installation of new ones.

Disconnect the water supply to remove the old ones to install new ones. Turn off the water and detach the pipes from the holes and cover them with plastic material and old cloth. Covering of pipes is necessary so debris cannot enter inside during drilling and other installation procedures.

Loose the mounting screws and scrap off the caulking material with a butter or putty knife. Wiggle it to loosen their connections and for their removal.

Clean the surface and caulking material after their removal. Fit the new faucet and connect it with plumbing pipes for the water supply.

Tighten the nuts and screws after fitting them, then turn on the main water supply valve.

Things to consider while using a kitchen faucet in the bathroom

It is necessary to consider these things while installing kitchen faucets in the bathroom for their correct adjustment and appealing appearance.

Size of sink and faucet

The size of the sink and faucets matters a lot, which can give an awkward appearance when you do not consider them. Inspect the bowl size while selecting the faucets for them to prevent water splashes.

Select the larger ones if these are shallow and have more depth. You cannot add the smaller ones in deep sinks because it can cause the water splashes to come on countertops and your clothes.

In addition, the smaller ones look non-compatible with larger bowls and vice versa. It can also give uneven symmetry and appearance to your overall bathrooms.

Measure the dimensions and depth of bowls while selecting the faucets for them.

Color of sink

You can add the kitchen faucets in the bathroom but inspect the color of the bowl and vanity area while adding them. Match the color of new ones with pre-existing parts for an appealing appearance.

It looks different and non-uniform when you select a distinct color. It also becomes the center of attraction because of its various colors.

It is necessary to add the white ones with white vanity and grey with grey bowls. You can also select contrast colors for a more classical touch.

I prefer to add the brass and white color faucets when they do not match the existing fixtures. These two colors are universal and look perfect with other colors.

Drain hole size

Inspect the drain hole size while adding the faucets in pre-existing sinks or bowls. Different bowls have drain holes of different sizes according to their dimensions.

Some of them are larger, while others are smaller because of the specific design of the bowls. Some bathroom faucets are high-pressure and require larger drain holes to remove water quickly.

You cannot add the ones with more water pressure and larger hose in the bowls with smaller drain holes. Water accumulates inside the bowls because small holes do not allow their quick removal.

Installation hole spacing

Sinks contain holes for the installation of faucets, and these are compatible with a few types. I always check the size of the holes while selecting the new kitchen faucets for your bathrooms.

You cannot drill new holes in this material because these are made of porcelain material and crack easily. Select the new fixture that fits correctly into the pre-existing hole, and you do not have to drill new holes for their installation.

Check the types of these fixtures because some contain single levers while others have double handles. You cannot add the double type if the sinks contain only one hole for installation.

Design of sink

Sinks come in different designs and shapes; people select them according to their preferences and personal use.

You cannot add faucets with small sizes and arc in the rounded types because these allow the water splashes to come on your cloth. The round types have more depth, and water comes into the bowl with more pressure.

Add the larger ones closer to the bowl to reduce splashes on surrounding floors, countertops, and your cloth.

You can add the smaller ones in rectangular and square-shaped sinks because these have small depths, and water cannot come on you during handwashing and brushing.

Why would you add a kitchen faucet in the bathroom?

People prefer to add kitchen faucets to their bathrooms because they are available in various designs and styles. You cannot find multiple designs and options in the later ones, and sometimes people do not like them.

In addition, these are made of rustproof material, and you cannot see any corrosion stains on their surface.

I prefer to add them because of their design and multifunctional parts. These contain the spraying nozzle head to clean the surroundings.

You can use the spraying nozzle head to wash your cloth and other accessories. These are larger and contain long arches, making them perfect baby bathtubs.

You can wash your babies because of their long arcs and extra spraying nozzle heads. However, you can add bathroom faucets in the kitchens, but there are several drawbacks.

These are smaller in size and cause interruption during dishwashing.
